O Jericho

Her name is Jericho,

Her high walls speak for themselves

She’ll let no one in or no one out

Her streets are empty, no one to walk on them

Who then shall gain access the city?

Romeo bellows out his poetry

From outside the walls he declares he love

To the deaf ears of Jericho he opens up

Her streets are empty, no one to walk on them

Who then shall gain access to the city?

Proof you are authentic

A worthy citizen of the city with tales of brokenness

What will separate him from his predecessors

Her streets are empty, no one to walk on them

Who then shall gain access to the city?

There is no gate to the city

She sends no envoy to negotiate with Romeo

He knows only two that can gain access to the city

The legendary Rambo, blasting through the walls

The stealth motion of the ninja, unanounced he arrives

Loneliness shall be her company

Heart break when Rambo comes through with the bazooka

So many questions when the ninja’s gone

Romeo is gone off to Mt. Zion, with poetry the ascends high

What will be of Jericho, shall she keep her high walls so self destructive?
